  • The visa requires the investor to do the following:

    • Invest between USD2.9 million* and USD5.8 million* choosing between a broad range of 'Growth' or 'Balanced' investment options.  We’re happy to chat through the specifics with you. ​

    • For the Growth investment category, meet a minimum of USD2.9 million* investment, and spend a minimum of 21 days in New Zealand across the three-year conditional visa period.

    • ​For the Balanced investment category, meet a minimum of USD5.8 million* investment, and spend a minimum of 105 days in New Zealand, across a five-year conditional visa period.

    • ​Be of good health and character.

    ​*The USD investment value is based on the NZD5 million to NZD10 million investment requirement, assuming a conversion rate of USD0.58 to NZD1.0.  The total investment required depends on the investment category selected..   • The estimated processing time for an application is typically between 6 to 9 months.

  • Upon approval of your application, you'll receive a conditional visa, providing immediate entry to New Zealand. If you require faster access, consider exploring temporary options like the New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA), visitor visas, or work visas.

  • While visa application fees are currently around NZD27,470, please confirm the exact amount with your Greener Pastures New Zealand representative, as fees are subject to change.

  • Yes, your Active Investor Plus visa application can include your immediate family, such as your spouse or partner and dependent children 24 years and under. Once you obtain permanent residency, if you wish, you can also sponsor your parent’s residency applications.

  • To maintain eligibility for the visa, Growth category investors are required to spend a minimum of 21 days in New Zealand during the three-year conditional visa period.  Balanced category investors are required to spend a minimum of 105 days in New Zealand during the five-year conditional visa period. 

  • Required documentation typically includes a valid passport, proof of investment, health insurance, a clean criminal record, and other supporting documents as requested.

  • After five years of residency, you may be eligible to apply for New Zealand citizenship, granting you full rights and solidifying your permanent place in one of the world's most sought-after countries.

  • Yes, children can study in New Zealand if their parents hold an Active Investor Plus visa. This visa allows the visa holder's dependent children to live in New Zealand, which includes access to New Zealand's educational system.

  • The Active Investor Plus visa program has no annual limit on approvals, providing ample opportunity for qualified investors to gain residency.
